The Quetzal Collective — Wearable Heritage
Raíz
Rooted in what was always meant to be worn.
The Collection
Raíz brings the brand back to where the textile story began: clothing, identity, ceremony, and the body. Before the textiles became bags, home goods, or accessories, they were first created to be worn, honored, and carried through daily and ceremonial life.
Raíz means 'root.' This collection is a return to origin. Before the textiles became bags, home goods, accessories, or modern lifestyle pieces, they were first created to be worn — to be carried on the body through daily life and ceremony, to mark identity, community, and belonging. The huipil is not a decorative object. It is a garment of meaning, made to be lived in. Raíz translates that original purpose into wearable pieces for today. Each garment is rooted in the traditions of highland Guatemalan weaving — the same backstrap loom techniques, the same hand-woven brocade patterns, the same artisan hands — now shaped into clothing that can be worn, not only admired. This is not a departure from the Quetzal Collective story. It is the beginning of it.
